Haryana: A blot of Educational Falsehood

Haryana has been one of the most significant state of North India, which has experienced massive agricultural advancement since independence, owing to its lush greenery and awesome land fertility. However, during the past decade, immense urbanization with a global touch has taken place here and this has influenced a lot of corporates and mega businesses to conduct operations from here. As a result, several global corporate players have their offices here and since the state is in vicinity of national capital, hence many more organizations have sighted Haryana as the most suitable place to establish business at.

India has been hit profoundly by globalization and hence there has been (and will be) a massive need for well skilled and immensely trained professionals to fill up various management and technical posts at various levels in many organizations. Hence, considering the scenario as a befitting opportunity to make quick money in huge amount, many shrewd businesses have set up privately owned higher educational institutions throughout North India on a wide scale. Hence, Haryana which has been on the path of perpetual development, is not behind in such an academic race and scores of engineering and management college in Haryana, have sprung up here as well. All such educational (commercial) hubs wear a superficially showy look but fail to deliver both quality and authentication. This is chiefly because their first and foremost objective is to mint money and not to impart necessary skill and training with relevant validity and recognition from government.

As such, they play with the future of innocent students and exploit them economically and educationally. When these students approach for jobs, they are bluntly denied on the grounds that degrees and college lack proper recognition and authentication.

Therefore, there are few points that students and their families need to keep in mind, while opting for colleges in Haryana; some points are summed up here as under:

Recognition: Students and their families need to crosscheck the college with UGC and AICTE websites for their recognitions and proper status of the concerned college. Make sure it is not black listed and must be acclaimed and registered one with unique registration code. Also, we can verify with the relevant professional boards which the college imparts education for, like we can ask Bar Council of India to find out if the concerned college has been acknowledged for conducting law courses and similarly, we can check with Hotel and Restaurant Association of North India for verifying hotel management courses and so on.

Students' strength and geographical locations: Students' families should also need to check for the total strength of students, presently enrolled for various courses, in the college and where exactly do they hail from, which part of the country. If possible, aspirants can directly ask the existing students about their opinion and experience about the organization.

Placement Record: It has been yet another indicator to a college's or institute's overall performance and credibility, as it mentions the underlying quality and credibility with which the organization disseminates the knowledge and skill.
